Blake earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), with Highest Honor, from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. During college, Blake was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key National Honor Society. Blake earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from DePaul University-College of Law and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing.
He attended Loyola University where he received his undergraduate degree in Finance. Following in his family tradition he decided to pursue a legal career and attended John Marshall Law School. Wanting to further concentrate on a type of Law he again attended John Marshall Law School and attained a Masters Degree in Law in Real Estate, an L.L.M in 2001.
Blake is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Blake focuses in Matrimonial and Family Law, including divorce/dissolution of marriage, maintenance/spousal support, complex property distribution, dissipation, child support, parental responsibilities (formerly known as custody), parenting time (formerly known as visitation), parentage, registration and enrollment of foreign judgments, modifications, and enforcements.
Blake helped research and write the prevailing appellate brief in the case of In re Estate of Zenkus, 805 N.E.2d 1257, 346 Ill. App. 3d 741, 282 Ill. Dec. 240 (2004). Blake is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
